Astrium Services delivers complete, end-to-end satellite services, which means that once a customer has placed an order, Astrium Services takes care of everything else – from processing requests for satellite access for communications capacity to providing the necessary hardware, arranging engineering efforts throughout the world, organising training and trouble-shooting should any problems or changes in plan arise. The company’s offering includes services such as the provision of military satellite capacity, terminal leasing, provision of VSAT networks and ‘Welfare’ services, along with the use of third-party networks such as those of operators Iridium, Globalstar and Inmarsat for commercial fixed and mobile satellite services, as well as terrestrial fibre. Services can be delivered either in one place via a fixed antenna or using transportable terminals for those on the move.
