Early in the morning, on April 10, 2003, the launcher Ariane 5G, (G for " Generic "), the basic version of the launch vehicle, successfully launched in a dual-payload configuration, the telecommunications satellites INSAT 3A (Indian Space Research Organisation) and GALAXY XII (Orbital Science Corporation) in the geostationary transfer orbit. Flight 160 is the 12th commercial mission of the Ariane 5 launch vehicle.
