The unmanned Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV). will supply the International Space Station, delivering experiments, equipment and spare parts, as well as food, air and water for the permanent onboard crew. The first ATV, dubbed ‘Jules Verne’, will be launched by an Ariane 5 on 9 March from Kourou, French Guiana.

Under contract to the European Space Agency, Astrium is industrial prime contractor for the ATV.
