Ariane 5 Flight 180 – mission successful

The sixth Ariane 5 mission in 2007 has successfully launched two telecommunications satellites, RASCOM-QAF1 for the Regional African Satellite Communication Organization RascomStar-QAF and HORIZONS 2 for Horizons 2 Satellite LLC.

Astrium is single prime contractor for the Ariane 5 system, responsible for delivery to Arianespace of a fully integrated and tested launch vehicle out of the Launcher Integration Building (BIL) in French Guiana and co-ordinates the entirety of the associated technical and contractual relationships with subcontractors throughout Europe.
