Satellite 2008

: The SATELLITE 2008 exhibit show floor features more than 270 leading manufacturers, integrators and suppliers. Visitors to the exhibit hall will be able to get up-close and hands-on with hundreds of new products and innovative technology solutions.

The exhibition will be held in the Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Place, NW, Washington, D.C.

Paris Air Show 2007

2007 Paris Air Show: The biennial Paris Air Show is the world’s premier aerospace event, providing a key business platform for professionals from all sectors of the industry. Astrium, naturally, will be present at this year's event, the 47th International Paris Air Show.

Astrium – All the space you need at Le Bourget 2007: Astrium, one of the leading players in the space industry, is taking the opportunity at the 2007 Paris Air Show to demonstrate that it delivers “All the space you need” – a complete range of launch capabilities; manned space; satellites, payloads and equipment for a vast range of civil and military applications; space vehicle equipment; a wide portfolio of space-based services.

The Astrium stand provides a wide-angle snapshot of the company’s activities, with the much admired globe exhibit, displaying a variety of satellites and launchers, and dedicated multi-media and models of key programmes on show.

Farnborough Airshow

: The biennial Farnborough International Aerospace & Defence Exhibition & Air Show in the UK is one of the biggest, most attended aerospace events in the world. It is a renowned showcase for both civil and military aerospace equipment and technology. The 2004 event attracted over 150,000 visitors (85,000 from outside the UK).

: Astrium exhibited on the EADS stand under the banner of "All the space you need". The company’s display was designed to convey its ability to deliver a complete range of launch capabilities, manned space flight, satellites, payloads and equipment for a vast range of civil and military applications, space vehicle equipment, and a wide portfolio of space-based services.

NATO Enlargement: The path of the aspirant nations into NATO

: This event has been expressly designed to attract the most senior military and government decision-makers in order to gain an essential and holistic update and provide excellent networking opportunities. Attendees will include military and governmental delegates responsible for force planning, defence policy, procurement, defence–industrial partnering, interoperability, standardisation and integration, foreign relations and R&D.

: The conference examines the latest thinking and work from the NATO aspirant nations, Albania, Croatia, Macedonia, Georgia and Ukraine, as well as case studies delivered by the 1999 and 2004 accession nations.

Through a series of case study presentations and interactive panel discussions, the programme will explore:

alignment of defence policy to meet NATO requirements focusing on the MAP
force training that provides capable forces of the future
force transformation and ongoing involvement in NATO-led operations
force planning and procurement programmes and the role of the military–industry relationship

Global MilSatCom 2006

: Satellite communications will play a large part in future force transformation as every force seeks effective joint C4ISTAR and Network Centric/Enabled Capability. With the increased role of commercial satellites in enabling this capability and the introduction of innovative financial partnerships to acquire the necessary platforms and infrastructures, effective satcom capability has now become viable for the majority of defence forces worldwide.

: This, the eighth Global MilSatCom conference will evaluate specific doctrines, identify new requirements, and present the latest developments from the leading international case studies on procurement strategies and the operational deployment of specific programmes.

: Other topics to be covered include future milsatcom applications, new and future technologies, government–industry co-operation, interoperability, 'on the move' capability, COTS, legacy systems and platforms and the latest commercial opportunities within the milsatcom marketplace.
