AEROCOAT MS
Overview
- AEROCOAT MS is a fire-proof protection destined to counter fires.
- AEROCOAT MS is based on silicon resin with active fillers wrapped on an organic fabric.
- This fire-proof protection is used on parts of Ariane 5 and ballistic missiles. It is especially used to protect electrical and pyrotechniclines.
Technology
- AEROCOAT MS is a white colour material based on silicon rubber with fillers wrapped on an organic fabric.
- AEROCOAT MS can be bonded or fixed mechanically.

Specificity
- Remarkable dimensional and ageing stability (water, oil, etc ...).
- Flight proven on Ariane 4 and Ariane 5.
- This material can be painted with conductive paints e.g.Static Aero B or Mastic AS.
- This material is available in different colours (yellow, red).
Example of thermal efficiency
5 mm of AEROCOAT MS limit the temperature increase of the back face to » 180 °C after an exposure of 220 s to a flame at 1090 °C.
