Astrium has manufactured more than 200 units that are now in service within the ASAR instrument on the Envisat satellite.

Receiver Characteristics

• Nominal gain 30dB.

• Gain control range >22dB in 0.5dB steps.

• Rx noise figure, less than 35dB.

• Rx phase range >348 degrees in 5.6 degree steps.

• Radar mode DC supply requirement < 3.6 Watts.

• Standby DC power requirement < 0.15 Watts.

• Total mass < 200grams.

Transmitter Characteristics

• Nominal gain 37dB.

• Gain control range >22dB in 0.5dB steps.

• Nominal output power, 8 Watts.

• Rx phase range >348 degrees in 5.6 degree steps.
