Thermography
Means
One infrared thermography camera and numerous technologies of implementation are at your disposal to characterize your product.
Features / technical details
Characteristics
This process is based on thermal radiation detection and characterization emitted by a "warm" object. This method, global and contact-free, affords to visualize flaws.
Performance of means
MEANS - 740 inframetric camera (Peltier cooling and adjustable emission)
- CEDIP processing mean (Software, flash lamps...)
- The mean is entirely transportable (In Situ tests)
METHODS
- Passive : visualization of infrared radiation emitted by a "warm" object. Then, warm or cold points observation.
- Flash : visualization of a body infrared radiation whereon is put energy known by flash lamps. Thermal response affords to characterize specimen.
- Modulated : visualization of a body subject to sinusoidal heating realised with lamps by infrared radiation. Detection synchronous with heating. Phases differences generated by possible flaws are used to test specimens.
PROCESS
- In transmission : transmitter and detector are put on both sides of the specimen to be tested.
- in reflection : transmitter and detector are put on the same side.
DIMENSION OF SPECIMENS
- from some cm2 to several m2.
