Modal analysis
Several techniques available
- Impulse response analysis of the structure further to hammer generated pulses. Under fixed or free/free conditions.
- MIMO global method: phase separation method based on the use of inertia properties: the structure (under fixed or free/free conditions) is subjected to "burst random" and "stepped sine" types of inputs in one or several locations, using Electrodynamic generators.
- the structure is fixed on a high power Electrodynamic generator and subjected to random noise inputs. Analysis of structural accelerometric responses to allow completion of an operational modal analysis.
- Apart from controlling the various means of excitation, all these techniques rely upon the analysis of measured forces at the location of inputs (hammer impacts or MIMO) and on the accelerometric responses.
- Command, data acquisition, and modal parameters computation are elaborated through the use of specific software tools.
Features / technical details
- Wide range of hammers and Electrodynamic generators (force range: 50N, 200N and 1000N) can be adapted to all types of structures.
- 450 3-axis accelerometers with integrated electronics are available with a wide selection of force tranducers
- Measured data are conditioned by means LMS DIFA SCADAS III computers which allow acquisition of up to 580 channels simultaneously
- Control of the Electrodynamic generators, measurement and acquisition of modal parameters are performed by means of work stations using LMS CADA-X 3.5D software
