RF Measurement Service

All offered RF Measurement Services will be carried out in the Antenna & Payload Test Center operated by the Center for RF Test Facilities and Maintenance.

Antenna measurement services of EADS Astrium typically comprise the following scope: 

1. Definition of a test plan and test procedure according customer’s test specification
2. Selection of test range
3. Installation of DUT to specimen positioner
4. Alignment of DUT versus test range, if required
5. RF calibration of range
6. Execution of specified RF pattern measurements
7. Measurement and derivation of further test parameters, if requested, such as:
   • Gain
   • RF Boresight versus Aperture Geometry
   • EIRP
   • C/I
   • Payload Performance
   • RF-Sensing
8. Determination of measurement uncertainties
9. Data evaluation and presentation
10. Preparation of test report
11. Handover of measurement data.

On request, customers also can perform RF measurement with own manpower, however it is recommended that at least one EADS Astrium expert should assist the measurement campaign.
