Ultra fast memory module board (UFM)
This type of memory module board was developed by Astrium for very high speed applications of up to 2 Gbps. In addition the board provides high capacity of128 Gbit. The UFM can be used as single board memory extension in a data processing unit and as multiple memory module board as part of a mass memory system

High resolution optical/SAR data acquisition memories (TERRASAR-X, TANDEM): Mass Memory building block (single board) for computer memory extension. The UFM memory board is build up by 2 individual memory partitions. Each partition provides independent dual power sensing and latch up overcurrent sensing and switching.
