In the role of the prime-contractor function of ASTRIUM to design and integrate satellite systems and instruments a profound expertise in harness engineering,-design and -production has been developed in the past. This system harness has been designed, produced and qualified for the Payload Equipment Bay of the European ENVISAT program. Harness systems of similar complexity have been designed and produced in the past for other national and European satellites, such as ISEE, ULYSSES, CLUSTER, XMM, and METOP.
