It is the second of the A5ES series and consists of a lower composite identical to that of the A5/ECA version (EAP with overloaded segment S1, EPC type P2 with Vulcain 2 engine) and an upper composite comprising an EPS P2000 and a composite VEB. This launcher is the 31st complete launcher delivered to Arianespace, integrated and inspected under the responsibility of ASTRIUM in the launcher integration building (BIL). In a single-payload configuration using a long pattern fairing, it will carry the second ATV (Automated Transfer Vehicle) cargo carrier for the European Space Agency (ESA).
