Graduate Development Programme


The Graduate Programme for the UK is now closed for applications, thank you to all those who have applied.


We offer a range of career opportunities dependent on the needs and aspirations of individuals.

You can choose to join us through exploring one of the following career options.

Graduate Development Programme

Our Graduate Development Programme is a two-year programme designed to support graduates with less than two years’ post-graduate professional work experience. Its purpose is to provide a framework to guide and support you through the first stage of your career development.

Join us as a graduate on this scheme and you will gain a comprehensive understanding of what we do and how we do it while working on various placements in different business areas. During this time you will also receive a wide range of training and development to build your personal and management skills and equip you for your future career with Astrium.

You will be based mainly in Portsmouth or Stevenage. However you may get the chance to do rotational placements may temporarily take you to any site in the UK or across to our sites in France, Germany or Spain.

What language skills are required to work for Astrium?

Speaking and writing fluent English is essential. Other languages, particularly French, Spanish, or German would be an asset.

Can I apply for an internship or diploma thesis? Do you offer internships abroad?

All open positions are listed on our job portal including those for internships and diploma theses.

You can apply directly online and will be contacted by the EADS Recruitment Centre (ERC). You will, of course, also receive remuneration. The amount may vary, depending on country and site
